Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Pale pastel pink colour with pink gold glints, limpid and shiny. Fine mineral open nose with notes of oyster shells, lime zest and rosehip flower. Supple attack, greedy, on notes of English sweets and salt stone, delicacy, fatness. Sapid, crunchy, mineral finish, beautifully long on salty notes.

Light pink

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

The hot and dry winter was followed by a cool and rainy spring with some frost which we had to fight against. These weather conditions caused a small delay in vegetation and a slightly slower growth than the usual average. Fortunately, the beautiful hot and dry summer allowed the vines to develop beautifully, and regular tillage of the soil after the rains limited water stress. The harvest took place magnificently in mid-September, early enough for the region, in order to preserve the freshness and purity of the aromas of this vintage. Although the quantity is low, the quality is magnificent with wines that promise to be very pure, well-balanced and exceptionally delicate.
