Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
The nose is open, frank and distinctive, marked by candied pepper, fresh spices and herbs, with a hint of liquorice.
The attack is supple, well-balanced but with a little body.
The palate develops a fairly refined character with candied pepper, fresh red fruit and citrus notes, enhanced by a touch of ginger.
The finish is marked by red fruit, spices and a slight savouriness.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Bringing together around 300 winegrowers, the vineyards cover more than 1,800 hectares across the Saumur region.
Viticulture
All cooperative members hold the AgriConfiance certification, ensuring sustainable practices and full traceability.
Vinification
Fermentation in tanks lasts between one and four weeks, followed by ageing either in oak barrels or in tanks, depending on the desired style.
