Fruity and crisp

Pink gold colour with silvery sheen. Nose opening up to peach, apricot, then red berries, strawberry. Supple attack, well-balanced. Straightforward fruity lengthening and tension. Straightforward, tart character. Good freshness. Clear and sapid finish with a hint of aniseed.

Robe
Light salmon

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • GERARD BERTRAND

The vines are mainly located in the Tautavel region, within the vineyards of the South of France, ideally situated in Roussillon between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Grenache is the best grape variety for making racy rosés. It expresses itself fully thanks to the exceptional climate: low rainfall and optimum sunshine. When ripe, it develops all its aromas, light and fruity in a contemporary style. It is a great grape variety from the South of France. The grapes are hand-picked and pressed directly. A rosé with an original profile, with a very pale pink colour, with shades of grey and white.
