Our oenologists' opinion
Succumb to this garnet-colored wine that has brick-colored highlights. It releases fragrances of black coffee, aniseed sweets and candied black fruits. In mouth, you will discover its taste of red fruits with brandy, featured during its smooth and supple attack. The finish is powerful with enjoyable tannins that are thick and full-bodied.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Occurring between the fermentation and bottling phases, the ageing phase is key to the vinification process. Two different types of ageing process exist. First, the stainless steel, concrete or resin tank ageing process lasts between 1 to 12 months. This system is favored for white wines, rosés, and red wines that intend to maintain a light and youthful note. The second, the barrel ageing process, can last up to 36 months. If the tank will not affect the wine’s aromas, barrels will definitely influence its taste and structure.
Domain and appellation
Purchased in 1948 by the Rambeaud family, this old 17th century property offers a line of AOC Montagne St-Émilion and Saint Georges St-Émilion wines that are elegant and fruity with silky tannins.
- Terroir: The 23-hectare vineyard surrounds this ancient Seigneury, built in 1606.
- Wine-making: A 20- to 25-day maceration in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats is followed by 12 months ageing in oak barrels.
