Powerful bouquet

With its dark ruby ​​color and bright red, limpod and shiny reflections, this wine offers you an open, expressive nose with notes of morello cherries, cherry tail and dark chocolate and a hint of kirch. On the palate, supple, coated, satiny attack, fat and long tannins, good tension. Racy, elegant finish, tension, fullness, character on the morello cherry, good balance, spicy point with a nice persistence.




Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Burgundy wines are produced mainly with single grape varieties. The leading varieties, the pinot noir and chardonnay grapes, thrive in this region with a semi-continental climate producing exceptional red and white wines.

Domain and appellation

  • Nuiton Beaunoy

    The Nuiton Beaunoy cave was created in 1957. Nowadays, this cave located in Beaune, in the Bourgogne region is a group of 80 producers. They are spread over an area of 430 hectares. One third of the Bourgogne Pinot Noir wines come from the vineyard of Hautes-Côtes (located in Beaune and Nuits) and two third come from the vineyard of the Côte d’Or.

    • Terroir: The vines are more than 20 years old. Each hectare is constituted of 9 000 to 10 000 plants. The soil is clay-limestone.
    • Viticulture: The harvests are done mechanically.
    • Wine-making: The first step is the cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by 15 days of barrel fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless barrels. Then, it rests also in stainless barrels on dregs during 12 months. The main objective is to maintain the fruit and the character of the Pinot Noir wine.
