Our oenologists' opinion
Garnet color with some ruby reflections, frank nose of stewed fruits, spicy peppery notes, boxwood, good balance, full-bodied, fleshy, nice character on animal notes, notes of fur, ripe tannins, quite dense, good frank and quite signed finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Margaux is the first of the 6 local appellations of the Médoc that one encounters after leaving Bordeaux on the "Route des Châteaux". It is also the most prestigious. Indeed, the appellation gathers more Grands Crus classés than any other: 21 for 59% of the production. A record!
Domain and appellation
Terroir & viticulture: The vineyard is spread over the 5 communes of the Margaux appellation: Cantenac, Labarde, Margaux, Soussans and Arsac.
Vinification & Maturing: Traditional Bordeaux vinification. Vatting for 25 to 30 days in stainless steel and concrete vats.
