Our oenologists' opinion
Garnet colour with dark brick tints. Nice frank nose of black fruit syrup, fresh liquorice and spicy notes of cumin. Good balance on a full-bodied wine, with a nice frank character and signed on minerality, the tannins are ripe and dense. Good typical length.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
The vines are located on the southern part of the Côte du Py, on blue stones and schists. Soils that are over 450,000 years old. The vines are about 60 years old and produce small, well-concentrated grapes. The "Côte du Py" climate is very qualitative and is renowned for its structure and finesse. The harvest is de-stemmed and then vinified in the Burgundian style with long macerations of about 20 days. Maturing in cement vats for 9 months with a small part aged in barrels.
