L'avis de nos oenologues
Powerful bouquet
With its deep garnet color, this wine offers you a frank and typical nose of gratinated fruits, animal notes of fur, then roasted wood. On the palate, good balance on a full-bodied wine, fairly vinous, frank character with notes of mocha, roasting, good frank finish on soft tannins.

Caractéristiques
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Le saviez-vous ?

CHÂTEAU HAUT-BAGES LIBÉRAL
A property of the Libéral family from early in the 18th century, this classified 5th Grand Cru from Pauillac was acquired by the Cruse family in 1960. Coming from the vineyard’s young vines, La Fleur de Haut-Bages Libéral is a second wine that benefits from all the expertise of its elder.
- Terroir: The 30-hectare vineyard is located around the property and adjacent to Château Latour as well as on the Bages plateau, south of Pauillac. The property’s plots are situated on 2 soil types: one consisting of deep gravel and other clay-limestone.
- Viticulture: Harvesting is done manually. The vines are less than 15 years old.
- Vinification: Traditional Bordeaux-style vinification in concrete and thermos-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is then matured in oak barrels (1 or 2 wines) for 12 months.
