Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose is open and fresh, characterised by notes of lemon, lime blossom and fresh basil.

The palate is supple, with lovely structure and plenty of freshness.

The character is defined by lemon, with a subtle hint of the sea.

The finish is tangy, with notes of citrus and exotic fruits, and a medium-length, refreshing aftertaste.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU DE L'HYVERNIÈRE

As has traditionally been the case in the Nantes region, Château de l'Hyvernière has around twenty underground vats. This wine has a salty, mineral profile, making it the perfect choice for bistros and brasseries.

True to regional traditions, this small estate in the Muscadet sur lies appellation is deeply rooted in the region’s history, with the earliest records dating back to the 15th century.
