Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Ruby colour with some purple tints, nice open and frank nose of black fruits, liquorice, spices of garrigue, good balance on a full-bodied wine, roundness, finesse, the tannins are ripe, good length which will go towards the spices.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • NICOLAS

The range "Les Petites Récoltes" is the product of a collaboration between and the cellars capable of making the best out of the terroir around them. Their speciality? A multitude of "classic" regional grape varieties, for the blends in search of fruitiness and freshness, who adapt for changing desires and tastes. The oenologists at Nicolas evaluate the quality of the new vintages every year and assemble them to give the best expression possible for that vintage. This exclusive blend, made with method and rigor, requires a bottle in excellent conditions from both a sanitation point of view and with respect to preserving the original quality of the wine. This technicality is guaranteed in the places of bottling chosen by Nicolas.
