Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose, slightly reduced at first, opens up to aromas of wild strawberries, pomelo, redcurrants and a touch of white pepper.

The attack is full-bodied and balanced, with tension and a fleshy texture. The character reveals itself in tangy red fruit and hints of sweet spices.

The finish is fruity, full-bodied and lingers well on the palate, creating a pretty wine with a light technological touch, like a multi-faceted harlequin.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • NICOLAS

The "Les petites récoltes" range is the result of a collaboration between Nicolas and the cellars that are best able to showcase the terroir surrounding them.

Their uniqueness? A multitude of regional grape varieties combined with the "classic" grape varieties of the appellations, for blends that aim for fruitiness and freshness, adapting to changing desires and tastes.

Nicolas' oenologists assess the quality of the new vintages each year and blend them to give the best possible expression of the vintage.

This exclusive blend, made with method and rigor, then requires bottling under excellent conditions to ensure both sanitary control and respect for the original quality of the wines. This technical expertise is guaranteed at the bottling locations chosen by Nicolas.
