Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is open and generous, revealing aromas of roasted plum, cocoa and liquorice, enhanced by a delicate hint of menthol.

The attack is clean, full-bodied and velvety, carried by an enveloping texture and a pleasant sweetness.

The palate is full-bodied and indulgent.

The finish, generous and lingering, harmoniously extends this beautiful aromatic richness.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE DE L’ACCENT

Driven by a traditional and sincere approach, we cultivate a dozen hectares using organic farming methods, but above all with common sense, in the Terrasses du Larzac.

The new semi-underground winery is situated in St-Jean de Fos, at the heart of the appellation. The vines are spread across several plots at different altitudes.

The man behind Domaine de l’Accent is Konrad Pixner, born in Italy, in the German-speaking mountains of South Tyrol.

A former researcher and oenologist for a wine estate in the Italian Alps, he took the plunge in 2018 to create his own estate, brick by brick.
