Well-rounded

Its dark ruby color with red brick highlights offers a wooded and smoky nose of black cherry. On the palate, this distinctive wine is balanced, frank, fine, full and round with a finish on round tannins that spinning.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

The plot of 3.76 hectares on which is developed this wine has a particular value for Bouchard P & F, as this is the first vineyard acquired by the House in 1775.

Domain and appellation

  • Maison Bouchard Père et Fils

    Bouchard P & F is more than 230 years of history, 130 hectares of vineyards, 12 Grands Crus and 74 1er Crus. In 1995, the house was bought by the Joseph Henriot Champagne. Former owner of the domain, the Carnot family is always mentioned on the bottles of Volnay 1° Cru Caillerets.

     

    • Terroir: Composed entirely of pinot noir, the plot of 3.76 hectares is located at mid-slope, on gentle slopes and stony marl.

     

    • Viticulture: The harvest is done manually and sorted carefully.

     

    • Vinification: The wine is aged for 10-18 months in oak barrels (60 to 85% new oak).
