Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose is clean, marked by notes of white flowers and jasmine, before opening up to reveal citrus aromas.

The attack is supple, characterised by lovely roundness and harmonious balance.

On the palate, it displays a frank and indulgent character, with notes of yellow fruit and acacia, underpinned by a pleasant freshness.

The finish lingers with lovely minerality, featuring a hint of saltiness that lends precision and elegance.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

This Bourgogne Aligoté has found its ideal terroir and draws all its vigour and minerality from its flinty soils.

Domain and appellation

  • In 1931, the Cave des Vignerons de Buxy was founded by a group of winegrowers from the Côte Chalonnaise who wanted to join forces to produce, age and market their wines.

Located at the heart of the Burgundy wine region, the Côte Chalonnaise embodies all its nuances.

The vinification of Bourgogne Aligoté takes place entirely in stainless steel vats to preserve its freshness and liveliness.
