Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The first nose is reduced and needs opening, with toasty notes, followed by aromas of grapefruit and English sweets.

 

The attack is frank, acidic and fairly full-bodied, with notes of white flowers and a hint of sapid bitterness.

 

The finish is fairly firm, with hints of grapefruit and hawthorn, and a light touch of white pepper.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine de la Clapière

    A typical property of the Languedoc, the Domaine de la Clapière is located in the town of Montagnac, near Pézenas. It benefits from alluvial terraces that combine gravelly filtering zones as well as exposed rocks and a mosaic of grape varieties. Its cool terroir, extending over 38 hectares, provides a fine tension to the estate's wines.
