Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • VÉRONIQUE ET THOMAS MURÉ

When, in the 17th century, Michel Muré settled in Rouffach to grow vines, he could never have imagined the wonderful journey he was setting in motion for his descendants...

In 1935, sensing the potential for exceptional quality, Alfred Muré added the Clos Saint Landelin to his holdings, rebuilt the dry-stone walls and replanted the terraces, which enjoyed ideal sun exposure.

In 1960, Alfred’s sons, Oscar and Armand, decided to move the winery from Westhalten to Rouffach. Then, in 1976, René, Oscar’s son, took over the family estate.
