Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Garnet colour with brick tints. Open and frank nose of black fruit and pepper. Good balance on a straightforward wine with freshness. Character of red fruits and spices. Good length, frank and quite tense.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine de la Désoucherie

Ideally situated between the CHATEAU DE CHAMBORD and the CHATEAU DE CHEVERNY, the Domaine de la Désoucherie, with a surface area of 32 hectares, can look back on a family history that goes back more than a century and continues to this day. TERROIR: the vineyard is planted on silico-clay soils with small flints on the surface. VITICULTURE: Christian and Fabien Tessier have implemented a sustainable agriculture with the TERRAS VITIS label VINIFICATION: traditional vinification with temperature control in thermo-regulated vats.
