Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Pale gold colour, clear and shiny; open nose with notes of vanilla, candied lemon, hawthorn and almond milk; supple attack, finer and more mellow wood, revealing a nice character with white flowers and flinty notes; sapid, ample, spicy, fleshy finish, good length with finesse, minerality and white flowers

Robe
Yellow Gold

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Au Pied du Mont Chauve' is the nickname given to the famous Montrachet hill!

Domain and appellation

  • Au Pied du Mont Chauve

A vintage of opulence, marked by the great maturity of the grapes with a great potential for ageing. Thanks to the rains at the end of August, the vines produced an abundant crop of very good quality. The whites are ripe, rich and powerful.
The vines are managed biodynamically. Natural grassing of the soil and mechanical work. The vines are pruned in simple guyot with long canes and disbudded every other eye, so that the bunches finish nice and airy. Aged for 18 months on lees, including 10 months in wood (Burgundy rooms and tuns).

This is the ideal wine to have a first approach of the terroirs of Chassagne.
