Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Pale colour with green and silver reflections, nice frank and open white fruit, hints of green asparagus, white peach, notes of peppermint, chives, nice balance, frank, finesse, full-bodied, good freshness, great character that prolongs the nose with a mineral hint that completes the whole, nice straight, frank and taut, spicy, sapid length.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • It was during a trip to visit winegrower friends in Languedoc Roussillon that Jérémy Ducourt discovered naturally disease-resistant grape varieties. Enthusiastic about the idea of producing more environmentally friendly wines, he convinced the rest of his family to plant the very first plots of resistant vines in Bordeaux. These new grape varieties are the result of a natural cross between internationally renowned vine varieties and more robust wild vines.
METISSAGE is the fruit of this unique and innovative union, a wine that is truly unique.
