Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Its pale yellow color with green reflections offers a nice fresh and gourmand nose, white flowers, fresh hazelnuts, pear and white peaches. On the palate, this wine presents roundness, with a beautiful envelope and finesse. Final frank, straight and greedy.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Very common in Burgundy, trading houses are key to the wine commercialization. Those Maisons are made of wine pundits who signed contracts with different winegrowers in order to buy their harvests. The wine is then made and commercialized by the trader. This profession requires a special skillset in viticulture to only select the best plots. Trading houses often remain in the same family. passing from one generation to another.

Domain and appellation

  • Maison Jean Loron

Although Jean Loron was the first in the family line to practise winemaking in 1711, the maison was formally established by his grandson Jean Marie Loron in 1821. This brand is now an international success thanks to wines that are memorable for their consistency and longevity.

    • Terroir: The vines are mainly planted on stony slopes and limestones in altitude, in the south of France. Cool nights compensate for the strong sun of the day.

    • Vinification: Traditional vinification at controlled temperature at 18 ° C. Aging on fine lees and control of malo-lactic fermentation to preserve acidity. Preservation in thermoregulated tank under inert gas to preserve the aromatic qualities of the Chardonnay grape variety.
