Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Its straw-yellow color offers an expressive nose with hints of bergamot, citrus fruit and exotic fruit. On the palate, this wine presents a rich and greedy attack with tension, nervousness and fat. Final with length.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The Condrieu "Les Terrasses de l’Empire" refers to the time when the Rhone was a border between the Holy Roman Empire and the Kingdom of France.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine Georges Vernay

At the origin of the renewal of the Condrieu appellation, the Domaine Georges Vernay has always signed its wines with a unique style: finesse, elegance, harmony.

    • Terroir: Mosaic of small plots on the steep slopes of Condrieu. The vineyard is very rugged.

    • Viticulture: The vines are maintained manually. The treatments are made with organic products. The harvest is manual.
