Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
The nose, initially marked by notes of undergrowth and liquorice, gradually opens up to reveal roasted black fruits and spices.
The attack is fleshy, offering volume and beautiful balance.
The palate is full-bodied and frank, displaying aromas of leather, cocoa and liquorice, with an assertive and harmonious character.
The finish is sapid and persistent, confirming a lovely character and beautiful aromatic depth.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHÂTEAU MAGNAN-FIGEAC
Château Magnan-Figeac belongs to the same family as Château Cormeil-Figeac, its neighbouring estate.
It is a softer, more approachable wine, thanks in part to a 30% oak-barrel ageing.Like Château Cormeil-Figeac, it is located on the finest terroirs of the appellation, close to Cheval Blanc and Petrus, an area renowned for producing exceptional wines.
The estate follows a pioneering approach to viticulture, including:
-
Full conversion to organic farming,
-
Agroecological and agroforestry practices, with the planting of 2,000 trees,
-
The creation of a one-hectare vegetable garden,
-
Scientific monitoring of various projects (ecology, biodiversity…).
A comprehensive philosophy that enhances the identity and quality of the estate’s wines.
