Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Its bright light straw color offers a nice fresh air and nose of citrus zest, lime and menthol. In the mouth, this distinctive wine is balanced, full and round with a crisp finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Situated between the Dordogne and the Garonne, the Entre-deux-Mers is one of the leading wine producing areas of the Bordeaux region. Although this geographical area mainly produces dry white wines, one will also find a few red and rosé wines classified Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur.
Domain and appellation
Located in the Bordeaux wine region of Entre-Deux-Mers in the towns of Rions, Béguey and Soulignac, Château Haut-Rian produces white wines under the appellation Entre-deux-Mers, red wines under Côtes de Bordeaux and rosé wines under Bordeaux Rosé.
- Terroir: The vineyard of 80 hectares stretches on exposed slopes south and south-east with a relatively warm and dry climate. Its clay-limestone soil has some gravelly ridges and allows grape varieties such as Cabernet, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
- Viticulture: The harvests are carried out in the morning.
- Vinification: In the winery, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled vats for six months. The wine is then bottled after six months.
