Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Pale pink colour with white gold highlights. Clear nose of red fruits, aromas of cranberry, aniseed. Supple attack with tension and balance. Frankly greedy length, character on red fruits, amylic notes but without heaviness. Frankly sapid and iodized finish.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

    The vines are mainly located in the Tautavel region of southern France, ideally situated in Roussillon between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Grenache is the king grape variety for producing racy rosés. It expresses itself fully thanks to the exceptional climate: low rainfall and optimum sunshine. When ripe, it develops all its aromas, light and fruity in the contemporary style. It is a great grape variety of the south of France. The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed directly. All the handling is done under carbon dioxide protection to preserve the delicate aromas of the Grenache, until the start of the fermentation which is done at a low temperature of 15 to 18 degrees. The wine is matured on its fine lees for several weeks before being bottled.
