Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
The name "Château du Bois de la Garde" refers to the most experienced soldiers of Napoleon's Imperial Guard, the Grognards, to whom we owe this prestigious estate.

CHATEAU DU BOIS DE LA GARDE
Located between Avignon and Orange, the Château du Bois de la Garde belongs to the Vignobles Mousset-Barrot. Specialising in Côtes du Rhône and Châteauneuf du Pape, the company only produces AOC, vins de pays and appellations Villages.
- Terroir: The Provençal bastide-like residence reigns over a continuous 60 hectare estate. The vineyard faces south-west and rests on a soil of rolled pebbles that store heat during the day and release it at night.
- Viticulture: The estate likes to explain in detail the care given to the vines throughout the year. The vineyard work is precise and carried out in relation to the mistral. The grapes are mostly picked by hand. The vines are pruned in gobelet. - Vinification: In the cellar, the wine ferments and macerates for a period of 15 days in thermo-regulated vats before maturing in concrete vats -
