Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Pale yellow colour with pale green reflections, limpid and brilliant. Open, iodized, airy nose with notes of flint, fern and hawthorn. Supple, taut attack, small character. Beautiful minerality and finesse. Full-bodied, spicy finish with hints of white chocolate, liquorice and white pepper with hints of hawthorn

Robe
Pale

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Created in 1923, the cooperative la Chablisienne today covers 25% of the Chablis vineyard with more than 300 winegrowers. Terroir: Stretching over 1175 hectares, the vineyards of Chablisienne rest on Kimmeridgian soils with alternating marl and marly limestone with deposits of small shells. The plots are generally facing south-east, south and south-west with a mosaic of different climates. Viticulture: The cooperative has the particularity of harvesting the grapes in the form of must in order to immediately evaluate the quality of the different plots.
