Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
Its straw color with green highlights offers a fresh nose of almond and fern. On the palate, this wine is balanced, strong, nervous and franc.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Do you know ?
The wine can age on the lees. It means that the deposits left in the tank after the fermentation remain present during the ageing phase in order to give roundness and aromas to the wine.
Domain and appellation
The vineyard is located about 15 km northwest of Mâcon, in the heart of the Mâconnais mountains.
- Terroir: Vines grow in soil composed of limestone and marly sediment, which allows the Chardonnay grape variety to express all its fruitiness and minerality.
- Vinification: Traditional burgundy-style vinification. The wine is then matured on fine lees in vats.
- Chardonnay : 100%
