Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
The nose is straightforward and charming, carried by a coulis of ripe red fruit, mixed with dry herbs and a hint of garrigue that evokes the sunny lands of the South.
Very expressive from the outset.
The attack is full-bodied and ample, with a generous body and a fine balance between substance and freshness.
On the palate, the wine unfurls a frank and greedy length, marked by the typicality of the terroir, with black fruits slightly in brandy, in a rich and sincere register.
The finish is greedy and persistent, with a warm, sunny touch that is true to the wine's character.
An assertive red for pleasure, powerful, frank and seductive.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CAVE DE BANYULS ET COLLIOURE
The Banyuls cru vineyard lies at the southernmost tip of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean Sea.
The vines are planted in terraces across schist slopes, stretching from the seaside cliffs to the deep inland valleys.
This demanding and singular terroir gives rise to wines of intense character, shaped by the minerality of the soil, the concentration of old vines, and the maritime influence of the Mediterranean climate.
