Domain and appellation
Founded by John Thompson in 1898, Knockando, which means "little black hill" in Gaelic, is different from other distilleries only with malts from a single vintage, and bottled at their peak.
- Distillery: The Knockando distillery is located in the Speyside region in Scotland.
- Manufacturing: The Knockando distillery uses conical shaped stills (classic pot still) for the first distillation and a ball compartment (boiling ball) for the second distillation. This Master Reserve comes from the assembly of several sherry casks.
