Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

A fairly deep lemon yellow colour, with fairly fine and regular bubbles. Clean nose of mineral notes, citrus fruit, passion fruit, hint of gunflint. Good balance on a medium body, nervous, frank. Mineral character. Clean and tense finish. Champagne mainly as an aperitif but can also be enjoyed as a cold buffet.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The "Château" appellation designates a wine whose grapes come entirely from a single estate located in the AOC appellation. This designation is particularly important for French institutions and aims to inform and protect consumers.

Terroir: Located not far from the Cistercian abbey of Clairvaux on the Côte des Bars, the estate covers more than 20 hectares.
Vinification: Produced using the traditional method, this Champagne Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay.
