L'avis de nos oenologues

Fruity and well-rounded

Sober purple colour. Lovely open nose with faded violets and green pepper notes. Good balance on a vinous, frank wine with finesse. Nice character that prolongs the nose, notes of wild strawberries. Long finish, already supple and greedy.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • Château de la Roulerie

    Le château de la Roulerie se trouve au cœur du vignoble de l’Anjou, dans la commune de Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné. Philippe et Marie Germain gèrent cette propriété du XIXème siècle depuis 2004. Ils cultivent leurs 40 hectares sous le label AB depuis 2015.

    • Terroir: Les vignes ont 25 ans d’âge et chaque hectare compte 4 500 pieds. Les vendanges se font manuellement. L’agriculture est biologique.
       
    • Vinification: Le vin fermente dans des cuves en inox, avec des levures indigènes. Il est aussi élevé en foudre pendant 3 mois.
