Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose is open and rich, revealing an amyl profile with aromas of English candy, Harlequin candy and candied strawberries.

On the palate, the attack is supple and crisp, with a light body and a discreet but straightforward character, featuring candied red fruits and tangy notes.

The finish, fairly short, remains easy, delicious and charming, in a style that is immediately enjoyable, ideal for uncomplicated tasting.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • MAISON LORGERIL

Nestled in the heart of the Cabardès AOC, an appellation uniquely shaped by the alternating westerly and easterly winds, the vineyard rises along the sun-drenched, rocky slopes of the southern Montagne Noire, between 230 and 360 metres above sea level.

This high-altitude terroir, bathed in light and swept by the winds, gives birth to wines of rare balance – a harmonious blend of Atlantic freshness and Mediterranean generosity.
