Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
The nose is open, characterised by notes of citrus, English toffee and redcurrant, with a hint of pomegranate and a subtle mineral touch.
The attack is powerful, full-bodied and rich, supported by a lovely balance and a beautiful texture.
The palate reveals a character of candied grapefruit, with a slight savoury dimension.
The finish is crisp and full, with medium length that prolongs the fruity and indulgent expression.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHÂTEAU CAVALIER
MONASTIC HERITAGE Located at the heart of the Notre-Dame-des-Anges AOC, Cavalier is a historic vineyard once run by monks.
PROTECTED TERROIR Nestled between the Alpes de Haute-Provence and the Massif des Maures, and influenced by the Mediterranean climate, the vineyard benefits from optimal ripening of the grapes whilst being sheltered from maritime influences.
SANDSTONE SUBSTRATE The sandstone soil imparts a distinct minerality to the wines, producing lively, fresh vintages that beautifully express the terroir.
