Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
The straightforward, distinctive nose opens up with a lovely complexity of aromas: roasted black fruit, garrigue aromas, sweet spices, resinous pine notes, all refreshed by a subtle woody touch of vanilla and Liège coffee.
The attack is supple, full-bodied and generous.
The balance is well controlled, carried by a powerful, delicious character, with black cherry and strawberry confit.
The finish is full-bodied, underpinned by ripe, fat tannins, with notes of coffee, melted vanilla and a hint of discreet balsamic, offering elegant, warm persistence.
A full-bodied, precise and bewitching wine.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

MAISON CASTEL
For the second chapter of its new collection, Maison Castel once again showcases its expertise, boldly playing one of its favourite cards: impertinence.
Venturing beyond its traditional terroirs, the House embraces exploration and unveils a Rhône Valley wine, combining character and elegance in a decidedly modern style.
