Fruity and crisp

The nose is open and frank, rather aromatic, revealing notes of grapefruit and redcurrant, with a hint of amyl reminiscent of Harlequin sweets.

 

The supple, fairly thin attack is marked by tension and freshness.

 

The light, tangy character is reminiscent of candy.

 

The sapid, tangy finish is rather short, offering a classic, refreshing profile.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Domain and appellation

  • MAISON CASTEL

    While it is particularly renowned in the northern vineyards, Pinot Noir also thrives remarkably well in the Pays d’Oc. Under the Mediterranean climate, this early-ripening grape easily reaches its optimal maturity, producing refined rosés.

     

    With the Indication Géographique Protégée Pays d’Oc, the Pinot Noir Rosé Grande Réserve from Maison Castel is the result of a careful selection of the finest parcels from diverse terroirs.

     

    On one hand, the Villafranchian terraces of the Hérault hinterland, a late-ripening terroir where the cooler conditions allow for a precise maturation, yielding more balanced wines.

     

    On the other hand, the dried-out Marseillette lagoon, a vineyard in the Aude region with clay soils resting on a deep saline layer, reminiscent of the Provençal terroir.
