Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
The nose is straightforward, dominated by spices and candied black fruit, followed by notes of mocha, truffles and undergrowth.
The attack is full-bodied, carried by the body and balance, revealing a frank and typical character.
A hint of mocha and menthol add to the wine's complexity.
Good persistence, leaving a fine imprint on the palate.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHÂTEAU BRANAIRE-DUCRU
Launched in 1988 by Patrick Maroteaux, Duluc refers to the family who built the château in 1824 and to the reputation of the wines at the time of the 1855 classification.
The younger sibling of Branaire-Ducru, Duluc de Branaire-Ducru is made with the same care and the same Signature Style as its big brother: wines expressing fruit, freshness, and great elegance.
