Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose is straightforward, both floral and mineral, marked by notes of jasmine and fresh citrus fruits, evoking a morning stroll through a blossoming orchard.

The attack is supple, with roundness and enveloping texture, while maintaining a lovely tension.

The character is straightforward and indulgent, carried by an elegant minerality.

The finish is salty, prolonging the tasting experience with aromas of ripe yellow fruit and offering beautiful persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Since 2019, it has been housed in the former Romanesque church of Fuissé, which has been completely renovated.

Domain and appellation

  • SOIL: The vines come from the villages of Solutré-Pouilly and Chaintré, blended from Premier Cru plots.

The soils are Cretaceous sedimentary rocks, mainly clay-limestone and flint.

WINEMAKING & AGEING: Vinification and ageing are carried out 100% in French oak barrels, of which 20% are new.

Fermentations begin with the help of natural indigenous yeasts, followed by 16 months of ageing on fine lees.
