Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is frank and greedy, dominated by aromas of exotic fruit paste, with a hint of roasted pineapple.

The attack is round and greedy, crisp, offering fullness, tension and a fleshy texture, with a character marked by candied mango and passion fruit coulis.

The finish is clean, with pineapple coulis and notes of dried apricot, with a hint of acidity.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE TARIQUET

Located in Gascony, in the South-West of France, Domaine Tariquet is a family-owned estate that has remained in the same family since 1912.

As an estate grower-producer, all wines and Bas-Armagnacs are made exclusively from grapes grown on the property.

Since the early 1990s, the vineyards have been managed using sustainable and reasoned viticulture, with a focus on preserving soil life and biodiversity.

In June 2021, Domaine Tariquet was awarded the "Confirmed" level (the third out of four) during its first audit for the Engagé RSE (Corporate Social Responsibility) label.
