Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is open, fruity and greedy, with frank aromas of blueberry and blackberry coulis, accompanied by a touch of redcurrant.

The attack is straightforward, fruity and juicy, highlighting fresh black fruit with hints of white chocolate and vanilla.

The tannins are long and ripe, adding structure.

The finish is crisp and balanced, with medium persistence, marked by notes of blackberry and violet, accompanied by a hint of black pepper.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE GRANDE PALLIÈRE

Our estate is located in the heart of Provence, in the commune of Correns, at an altitude of 250 metres.

It covers 200 hectares, including 40 hectares of vines classified under A.O.C. Côtes de Provence.

These vineyard plots benefit from the region’s key assets: an exceptional microclimate, favourable sunshine thanks to their hillside location, a trellised training system, and very healthy clay-limestone soils.
