Powerful bouquet
The nose is open and frank, characterised by notes of peony, raspberry coulis and red pepper.
The palate is supple and balanced, with medium body and soft tannins.
The wine’s character comes through in the candied pepper and spices, lending it a lovely distinctiveness.
The finish is full, harmonious and persistent, with a pleasant, lingering finish of spices.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

DOMAINE DE BEAUSÉJOUR
It was the ‘first love’ of a local wine enthusiast… In 2021, this dream became a reality, and a young, enthusiastic team is now hard at work reviving this renowned wine-growing region.
They draw their energy from this protected ecosystem of one hundred hectares, in a single block, nestled between the Chinon National Forest and the Vienne Valley.
Beauséjour lives up to its name... and time seems to stand still here.
