Powerful bouquet

The nose is frank and bouqueted, revealing noble animal notes of fur and leather, accompanied by slightly toasted wood.

The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, offering beautiful balance with a full body, roasted black fruits underscored by subtle, controlled toasting.

The ripe, soft and elegant tannins bring suppleness and depth.

The harmonious and persistent finish extends the aromatic bouquet with distinction.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

CHÂTEAU CORMEIL-FIGEAC

Château Cormeil-Figeac belongs to the same family as Château Magnan-Figeac, its neighbor. It is a wine with a complex structure, subtly oaked, and can be aged for another 20 years.

At Château Cormeil-Figeac, agroecology is practiced intensively and passionately. 5000 trees will be planted by 2026 across 25 hectares certified organic since 2021. The 10-hectare estate is situated on clay-limestone soil with a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. All vinifications are done without sulfur to preserve the freshness of the fruit.
