Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

The nose is open and bouqueted, seducing with notes of leather, toasted wood and cherry pit, enhanced by a hint of coffee.

The attack is clean and balanced, marked by tension and finesse, supported by long, rich tannins.

The palate is velvety and elegant, lingering on lovely smoky and roasted notes, with good persistence and a delicate finish.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU DE TIREGAND

Born from vines aged between 15 and 58 years, this Pécharmant is a true expression of its terroir, offering an aromatic nose of black cherry and Morello cherry, a fleshy palate, soft tannins, and a long, elegant finish.

A great classic of the Pécharmant appellation, it can be enjoyed young for its fruit, or allowed to reach its peak after 6 to 7 years of ageing.
