Fruity and well-rounded

Garnet-red with purple highlights. Open, powerful nose of milk chocolate, milk caramel, sour cherries and morello cherries. Well-balanced, floral attack, ripe tannins, medium body, straightforward. Nice character with red fruit coulis. Fleshy, crisp, greedy finish, hint of black pepper.

Features

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU DE LA TERRIÈRE

    Château de la Terrière has stood since the 16th century in Cercié in the heart of the Beaujolais region. It is one of the oldest estates in the region. The vines cover a total area of 12 hectares and are on average 50 years old. They stretch out in a single block on the site known as "la terrière", facing south, halfway up the slope, on a pink granite hill. The objective of Yoan Pitoiset, the winemaker, is to give the wine time to fully express itself and reflect the complexity of the terroir. Here we produce a fruity, supple wine with a mineral finish.
