Fruity and well-rounded

Golden yellow colour with a golden sheen, clear and brilliant, quite fine bubbles and a persistent cordon. Open and expressive nose, vinous, with notes of golden apple and white pepper, and a hint of ginger. Supple and racy attack, full bodied, rather medium bubbles, not very creamy but blends well. The finish is greedy and racy, nice vinosity, nice character and good balance, good persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

The family establishment is nestled in Domfrontais in the heart of Normandy, in the town of La Ferrière aux Etangs.
- Terroir: The estate is located on a hilly terrain. The soil is predominantly silty-clay-stony. Located on a sandstone bar, the floors are draining.
- Blend: Sweet bitter apples.
- Maturing: After pressing, the must is put in tanks ; then alcoholic fermentation, voluntarily slowed down, will last 180 days, where the fruity aromas will be refined.
