Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Its shiny pale golden colour with fine bubbles offers a nose of litchi, tea leaves and citrus zest. In the mouth, this wine, with a creamy foam, est balances and allies freshness and elegance with nice aromatic persistance.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The “ancestral dioise method” relates to a unique winemaking process of a vineyard located close to the French Vercors region and dating back to the antiquity period. The wines ferment partially in stainless steel tanks and ends their cold transformation in bottles thanks to residual sugars.

Domain and appellation

  • Jaillance

With “The nicest bubbles of France” as its signature, the brand Jaillance likes to get France’s most prestigious terroirs to sparkle. Established in 1950 as the Coopérative de Die, the maison has since expanded its influence to become the French reference among sparkling wines, other than Champagne.

    • Terroir: Located in the Vercors region, the vineyard lays on a clay-limestone soil and benefits from exceptional climatic conditions.

    • Viticulture: The Clairette de Die is made of a minimum of 75% of muscat and clairette blanche as a complementary grape variety. Harvests are handpicked.

    • Vinification: This sparkling wine is produced according to the “ancestral dioise method.” The Cuvée Impériale is made from the best cuvées, selected by the cellar master.
