Fruity and light

Deep caramel tints, clear and brilliant. The nose is open, fruity and greedy, with notes of strawberry jam, vanilla, caramel and liquorice, and a hint of banana. Greedy, sweet attack. Character with crushed banana and vanilla, hint of strawberry coulis. Fruity, greedy finish, lingering caramel and flambéed banana.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

The word Whisky means agrain spirit (malted or not) produced in Scotland whereas Whiskey produced in Ireland or the United States is commonly called "Bourbon".

Domain and appellation

  • Woodford

    Built in 1812 by Elijah Pepper, the Woodford Reserve is the oldest distillery in the United States. It is officially recognized as a historical monument. The distillery is located in Woodford County, Kentucky, known as the "land" of bourbon.

    • Manufacturing: The Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is made of corn (72% exclusively from the Kentucky region), rye (18%) and malted barley (10%). This bourbon ages in a unique way thanks to a double maturation that gives it intensity and temper.
