Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
Luminous yellow colour with green tints, nice frank nose of hawthorns, then buttery, brioche and mineral notes. Good balance, quite full-bodied, nervous, mineral character, tension, good length, fresh and tense with quite fine bubbles.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation
Besserat de BellefonFounded in Aÿ in 1843 by Edmond Besserat, the Besserat Bellefon House is now one of Lanson-BCC Group (Boizel Chanoine Champagne).
- Viticulture: The House of Besserat Bellefon has a vineyard of 25 hectares, mainly located in the Marne Valley and relies on a network of growers from the BCC Group to the source grapes.
- Vinification: Like the House Lanson, champagne of Besserat House Bellefon does not undergo malolactic fermentation. In addition, the use of short-run liquor dose allows the creation of bubbles 30% thinner and on the creamier side. Finally, bottled, the wine will rest slowly over fine lees for 3 years, thus making a more pronounced maturity.
- Chardonnay : 100%
