Fruity and crisp

Let yourself be carried away with this fresh and tempered wine. At nose, the fruity fragrances of Morello cherries are perfectly allying with the freshness of the juniper. In mouth, it is well-balanced while showing also its personality thanks to its spiced taste. You will find again the taste of Morello cherries.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • La Cantina Valpantena

    Founded by a handful of wine-growers in 1958, the Cantina Valpantena is nowadays relying on a vineyard entirely implanted on hills located between Milan and Venice, in the North of Italy.

     

    • Terroir: Located at the north of Verona, the designation is bordered at west by the Carda Lake and is protected in the north and in the east by the mountains of the Lessini Massif. The vineyard is placed on long valleys and on soft hills exposed facing the sun.
       
    • Wine-making: First, grapes are destemmed. The fermentation is made between 22 to 28°C. It is followed by six days of maceration. It rests in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic potential of wine.
