Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Pale yellow colour with bright green tints, nice frank and open nose with notes of white flowers, dill and gunflint with good balance on a rather full-bodied wine, nerve, frank and signed with fresh spices, notes of smoke and minerality with a good frank and tense finish.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

A family business since 1861, the estate of nearly 9 hectares is located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fumé́ appellation on the slopes of Saint-Andelain.

Terroir: The vineyard lies on 70% flinty clay, and clay-limestone and sandy-clay soils.

Viticulture: The grapes are sorted on reception in the cellar.

Vinification: Slow pressing, with juice fractionation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with temperature control (16-18°C). Aging on lees for 4 to 6 months before the selection and blending of the batches in February. Bottling takes place at the Domaine in April.
