Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine de l'Aigle

The Domaine de l'Aigle, located near the village of Roquetaillade, near Limoux at the foot of the Pyrenees, is a 47-hectare property at an altitude of 250-500 metres, representing one of the highest vineyards in the Haute Vallée de l'Aude and the whole of Languedoc. The vines planted with Gewurztraminer find climatic conditions close to their Alsace of origin: oceanic with a semi-continental tendency, with regular rainfall and a strong thermal amplitude. The grapes are produced using sustainable agriculture, in compliance with the Terra Vitis approach, which guarantees the traceability of cultivation practices verified by an independent body.
